Bob and Kimberly Bernatz
Bob is a principal consultant with the Table Group, an international consulting firm specializing in building up smart and healthy organizations. He is also a corporate psychologist and founder of the online feedback platform, VOXopolis.com.
Kimberly is a Senior Vice President for Wealth Management at First American Trust www.firstamtrust.com.
Bob & Kimberly both attended the University of Southern California where they first met.
They have been married since 2002. They make their home in Newport Beach, CA and have two grown children, Connor & Tori.
C.E. and Lolita Crouse
C.E. and Lolita attended Asbury University for two years and graduated from the University of Kentucky, C.E. with a degree in Accounting and Lolita in Elementary Education. After working for a national accounting firm in their Greensboro, North Carolina office and a tour of duty with the Army in Korea, C.E. co-founded Capin Crouse, an accounting firm that specialized in serving evangelical nonprofit ministries across the United States. He retired in 2012 after nearly 40 years with the firm.
During his career, C.E. served a wide range of clients from large ministries to small family businesses and had a special interest in the area of board governance and development. He currently serves part time as the CFO of a think tank in Indianapolis, is chairman of the Asbury University Board of Trustees and continues to be involved in several business ventures.
C. E. and Lolita live in Wilmore, Kentucky, have been married for 49 years and have 3 children and 10 grandchildren.
Doug and Nadine Houston
Doug and Nadine grew up together in a small town in Louisiana. They were childhood sweethearts who began dating at the age of 16 and graduated together in both high school and college, Louisiana Tech University. Doug received a degree in Chemical Engineering, and Nadine in Elementary Education.
Together, Doug and Nadine own Houston Interests, LLC, a family business that owns both US and international technology and engineering companies and serves various industries, including oil, gas, power, and food. Two of these include Devco and River Consulting. Doug and Nadine have been active members of the church from the beginning of their marriage. Doug served as a deacon and taught Bible study classes, while Nadine has been involved in various ministries throughout their faith communities.
Doug and Nadine were married in 1974. They have three children and three grandchildren. The Houston’s are a close family and all live in Tulsa, OK.
Steen and Trina Hudson
Steen has served in the nonprofit sector for more than 20 years in areas of international development, addiction recovery, youth empowerment and community service. His leadership has ranged from micro-enterprise and disaster relief to long-term solutions to poverty and refugee families to guiding the nation’s largest privately-funded park. In 2011 he began his own consulting firm with a mission to help nonprofits and their leadership achieve their objectives by developing their abilities to communicate and connect with their key constituencies, think conceptually, plan strategically and operate efficiently.
Trina is an alumna of Westmont College and serves as the Director of Alumni and Parent Relations at her alma mater. Together they have coached or been team mom for more youth sports teams than you can imagine.
Steen and Trina were married in 1988 and have three wonderful boys who help keep them on their toes. As longtime members of Santa Barbara Community Church, they have served as leaders and teachers for the last 23 years. Steen grew up in Seattle and Trina in southern California and they now live in Santa Barbara, CA.
Bruce and Janet McNicol (President)
Bruce grew up near the Cascades of Oregon and Janet in the Rockies of Colorado. Following a decade in business and the church, he served ten years as President of an international leadership development and church planting organization based in Chicago. There, he led a team who designed programs on character and leadership, and helped establish over 100 multi-cultural churches throughout North America. In 1995, the McNicol family moved to Phoenix to co-found Truefaced, formerly known as Leadership Catalyst, Inc.
Bruce has coached many businesses and organizations, including Arrow Leadership, Leadership Network, Cru, Generous Giving, Masterworks, Young Life, National Christian Foundation, Christian Leadership Alliance, universities and graduate schools, and missions. He speaks to multiple audiences each year and continues writing best-selling Truefaced resources, including The Ascent of a Leader, The Cure, Behind The Mask, Bo’s Café and The Kingdom Life. Bruce holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance Law, a Masters in Theology and a Doctorate in Organizational Theory and Leadership Development.
Bruce and Janet married in 1981. Janet works as an RN. They both enjoy mentoring young men and women and emerging leadership couples. Bruce and Janet have received extensive personal tutoring from their three wonderful children and spouses.
Scott and Stormy Morrison (Chair)
Scott and Stormy are real estate developers in Gilbert, Arizona. Scott was born and raised in the area and farmed there for many years, during which time he also ministered at William’s Air Force Base with The Navigators. The Morrison’s current project is turning the family farm into a 3,000-acre master-planned community known as Morrison Ranch.
Scott and Stormy have touched and changed thousands of lives through their quiet philanthropy, which has been noted by such groups as Generous Giving. “Everything that we have belongs to God,” says Scott, “and we need to treat it accordingly. This is the overarching concept we break down into four smaller ideas: (1) We need to honor God with how much we give. (2) We need to honor God with how we give it. (3) We need to honor God with how much we keep. (4) We need to honor God with how we keep it.”
The Morrisons have been married since 1979. They have four grown children who are spread across the western U.S.
Bill and Grace Thrall (Vice-President)
Before the Thralls involvement in full-time ministry, Bill served for seven years as a CPA and management consultant, which included his becoming Arizona’s first assistant auditor general. In 1973 Bill and Grace helped establish Open Door Fellowship in Phoenix. For more than three decades the Thralls have identified and trained visionary leaders at Open Door and have helped launch nationally recognized programs such as Neighborhood Ministries.
His depth of experience and integrity has given Bill opportunities to teach Truefaced principles around the world to such organizations as The Navigators and the Salvation Army. Bill is the co-author of the best selling Truefaced resources The Ascent of a Leader, The Cure, Behind The Mask, The Kingdom Life, and Bo’s Café.
Bill and Grace were married in 1961. They have three married children and nine grandchildren.
