To Risk Believing God When You do Not Understand

The single most important gift any believer can ever receive is to risk, believe, doubt, fail at and then rest in semi-certainty at the absolute goodness and perfect, sovereign rightness of God…maybe especially in the events you least understand. It is a gift, because all your efforts to pass judgment upon His ways will not earn you what you most need. Once you are convinced the true God has been revealed-then trust Him in whatever He does. Grieve and be sad. Be confused and even stunned. But don't waste time second guessing His heart or His will. His character has already indelibly been revealed forever at the cross and resurrection. And, because humans, even redeemed ones, with new hearts, most often cannot be reliably trusted to understand anything too much more.
